Morgan Chapman

Morgan first joined the Havlik Metcs Ltd. team in 2013 as a research associate. Her work is focused on research and reviewing claims in various stages of the specific claims process. In her time with Havlik Metcs, Morgan has shown a strong affinity for the transcription of difficult archival materials, and has become a specialist in meeting the arcane “minimum standard” policy of the Federal Government.

Growing up, Morgan summered in Ipperwash, Ontario – an area that has had an extreme public focus on the issue of First Nations land claims. With a desire to understand the intricate issues at play, Morgan devoted much of her schooling to growing her knowledge of the different perspectives, issues and challenges faced by First Nations in gaining access to their traditional territories.

Morgan graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours Specialization in First Nations Studies (2010) with a program that focused on a variety of topics including legal and political issues facing First Nations in Canada.
